Started the day signing up for social security,so every one keep working so I get my checks!!! Picked up the new arrows BUT someone screwed up and instead of 3" feathers in a Beman 500 hunter I now have Beman venture 500 with 2" blazers! I figure I'ed give them a try. After they were cut and set up I shot 6. 5 arrows in inch and a half with a flier out 3-4 in..They shot a little to the right!.The one thing I picked up on real quick was keeping my finger down. I never felt a feather but the vanes give you a nice little WAC! I gave up trying to figure out how much they weigh.I got out my powder scale and just put them on it 26" ics hunters 500 feathers = 332 gr. 26" ics venture 500 2" blazers=340 gr.

I weighed a bunch of vanes & feathers a while back, 15 each of different types. The results are for avg, low & high weight. Did this with my RCBS powder scale. I like the look of feathers but use the Blazers, my arrows hit a couple inches lower with feathers out at 60 yds.
2" Blazers 5.85 avg 5.5 low 6.1 high 4" Bohning 9.79 avg 9.1 low 10.3 high 4" feathers 3.52 avg 2.6 low 4.0 high 5" feathers 3.73 avg 3.1 low 4.2 high

AZ....Yes....feathers will add some substantial drag from 40 yards out.
