Do you pack your bow for those longer hikes or do you still carry it?. Skipmaster has a great pack for the job and I am considering getting a pack like his just to be able to get into some of these heavily populated area's without looking like I am hunting.

My pack is setup to carry my bow but it already weighs 25+ pounds and it is difficult to get a hold of the bow if I need it fast If I'm not alone, I could put it on someone else's back

One question though, who is going to carry your elk out after you have successfully harvested it with your compound bow? haha

Native guides .....and they will even carry your bow for enough money
