On the string I only had a peep tied in and a string loop. I found it was just as quiet with the Norway String Tamer and without the BowJax string dampeners on the string, so I put them on the cable. This actually made the bow pretty quiet. This is with the Crackers strings that Jim at Select Archery will put on as a free option if you wish. The strings appear to be very well made by the way; great servings. This is the setup: 72 lbs draw weight, 29 inch draw and a 410 grain arrow with feathers shot off a prong rest. This was just a down and dirty set up, no fine tuning yet. As long as I am using a string dampener, this is how I always set my hunting bow up, as far as the string goes.
