Ok here goes I recieved my 08 Martin MOAB on Saturday Dec 8th. Had a few days to play with it after work before getting dark outside here in Montana.
Out of the box the bow Amazed me! The APG camo is very nice and will work great hunting Elk and Deer both WT and Mulie here in my State, let alone anywhere you live. The riser is very clean looking and all seems to blend well with the whole bow. The out of box Spec were BH 7 1/4" and ATA of 32 3/4 " not far off of the Martin Specs of 7" BH and 33" ATA. This is my 1st encounter with a Martin bow without the SE or Reg Limb Pockets, I really like the look of the new Pivoting Roto Limb Cup . Excellent Idea from Martin IMHO. It really reduces the over all mass weight of the bow. Now lets talk about the Integrated shelf, another plus for Martin on this one. Now I dont have to take that darn Mole Skin and cover my arrow shelf, Quiet as a whisper now with my Ripcord Launcher falling after the shot on the riser shelf Another Excellent Improvement over recent Martins I have shot. Trust me I have shot plenty of Martin/Rytera bows over the past 3-4 yrs. Now onto the Infamous new Thermal V leather grip , excellent improvement also than in the past yrs. I absolutely hated the Stock thermal grip that came on my other Martin bows, so I always bought the $50 C-33 Leather Wood side plate grips for my bows. NOT the MOAB this grip is AWSOME even small handed Archer will truley fall in love with this slim grip. Now on to the New faster 08 M-Pro Cam with optional draw stop this is a plus I have noticed already. The cam seems a bit faster than the 07 M-Pro I have on my Cheetah. I have never shot with a Drawstop on any bow I have ever owned. I like the feeling of the fine tunning aspect I can get now with my Dl with the new feature, I think alot of people are gona love it. Now lets talk Mass Bow Weight, Man I can't belive this bow is this light. Even with a full set up site ,rest, STS, and Wrist sling this bow is way lightwer than any other Martin/Rytera I have owned. I have Owend a Bullet X (Nitrious/V-Pro) Slayer X (Nitrious ), Rytera Triad, Saber, Razor X and C III. This 08 MOAB is by far the lightest one ever. I can't wait to pack this around Elk Hunting next yr should be very easy to carry all day in the Mountains. Ther has been alot of talk on other threads about the New White Cable Slide, I dont see a differance in this one and other bows I have had with a black one. Stock Factory Srting's I cant comment on because I always put Ston Mtn Strings on all my bows. But the Double Helix Elite strings that came on my 07 Cheetah were EXCELLENT from shot one. There wasnt any Streach or Peep Rotatin in the 2 weeks I shot it before my Aftermarket String came in. So Stock String have been another Excellent Improvement for Martin in 08.
SO I can say to all that are interested in this bow , it is a shooter. It is very well put togethor and backed by OUTSTANDING Customer Service. I DO NOT have any major gripes about the bow . The price is outstanding , I can't belive this bow goes for what it does (Please see your Local Dealer for Pricing) . It should go for way more than what the price Dealers are selling it for. I would gladley pay $100 more than what I paid and still be 100% Satisfied. The bow is ABSOLUTELY Dead in the hand after the shot, and Whisper Quiet.
TO the Whole Staff at Walla Walla on making a very fine bow this yr. I am so glad I got mine before the mad rush on orders. Keep up the Excellent work and keep making Quality bows at a Affordable price.
THIS BOW IS GONA BE A HUGE SELLER FOR MARTIN IN 08 WITH THE FIRECAT BETTER GET YOUR ORDERS IN SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes there is one but very Minor ones that don't effect Preformance one bit.
1. I really like the Omega V.E.M's in the bow that came Stock, but I imediately replaced them with the Black ones that came Stock in my 07 Cheetah for a better matching look.
