Need some advice on what size and type of serving to get for tying in peep sites. Would you use different serving for center serving? I would like to have some for my field kit just in case I ever need to do some emergency reserving while in the field. I am trying to get started do more of my work myself.

I used Dacron B-50 but I use it for everything so I always have it around. A bobbin should last 10 years (or more) if your just tyeing peeps and reserving strings,ect.. Costs about $8. a spool.

akdd a good rule I use for center serving is to match the serving size to your nocks so that when served the nock's ain't too tight on the string. for most strings I use .018 serving. The smaller the serving the tighter it fits to the string and the harder it is to move it. If you think you may want to adjust your peep use a slightly larger (.022) thread. If your sure that once you find your peep height you don't want it to move use the small serving or dental floss. Hope that helps

I use a capet thread for peeps... It is a black, light weight, cheap, thick and strong thread. Wax well before applying, works great.

I admit to liking the idea of using dental floss.
Kinda off the wall, but if it works.....I'm all for it!
