In a recent thread Bowtec and I talked about the proper way to sight with a peep. I wanted to expand that further here on the proper way to aim your bow. AIM WITH YOUR ELBOW!!! Let me explain.
If you have a contestant anchor point and have figured out the proper way to sight with a peep now you need to get your pin over the intended target. Most archers aim with their front arm (bad idea). This changes your posture and relationship with the bow and your torso. To be a consistent archer (that is the name of the game) you must consistent in anchor point, bow grip, body alignment ect. By moving that forward arm to aim you are fighting yourself and leading to target panic. Your upper body should move like a gun turret, bend and twisting at the waist. This will keep everything lined up and consistent.
To aim the bow you steer with your rear elbow. Right now extend your bow arm and place your rear arm in the position it would be if you were at full draw. If you need to aim up, lower your rear elbow see what happens. To move side to side move the rear elbow. Give this a try and you will see your consistency and accuracy improve. If you are dealing with target panic use this technique to get the pin over the target. Hope this helps

I don't know, It was taught to me by some world champs who happen to live here. I will try to find out though. It works very well.

DUH!!! Didn't even think about it, but it sure makes sense. I have been holding a tight fist to muscle my bow around and relaxing it just before I shoot.

This is the same way that i aim ( must have read it somewhere myself ) and i have been getting my shooting buddies to do the same and it has improved there scores dramatically. Also when leveling your site bubble you do that the same way. If your bow is canted to the left a little you level it with your anchor hand, not the hand holding the grip as that will just induce more torque.
