I've tried a number of releases over the years and have settled on Scott as my favorite. I currently shoot the Sabertooth model and love it. Double caliper with a dog leg trigger that helps compensate for the string loop on the bow.

I was shooting a generic velcro strap cobra release. It was modified with longer velcro straps to fit around gloves better. It's my backup now. I didn't like the sound of the velcro in the early mornings putting it on. I bought a tru-fire x-caliper "bearpaw" glove style and love it. It took a little getting used to, but it's awesome! Great adjustable trigger and quiet simple non-velcro strap.
