It sounded like a reputable shop that had been appropriately working on parallel bows before and since.
Broken at pocket pivot And if it was pressed wrong, that also is scary. You rely on your pro shop, and your bow dealer, to know how to press a bow correctly. For those of us who can not afford their own press, we pay people who are supposed to be knowledgeable about the bow their working on to do us up right.
Again, I am not saying anything about Mthews or their failure rate. The person reports that it was pressed once by a reputable shop with experience with the bow.
It is of interest to me because the Drenalin follows much of the same design intents as the PSE top lines started last year. It is an unusual break in that it is my understanding that most bows splinter along the limb or at the cams. Just giving people a heads up in case they see something similar.
It is not bashing, paranoia, or fear mongering. It is about keeping people informed about a happening.
