Here is a link to the story on the mathews forum. The pics are pretty ugly. I'm sure this is not the only bow in the world to have a limb let go, but it sure did make me think a little bit, right after I just ordered one...lol forums.mathewsinc.com/viewtopic.php?t=49529

If you go to page 4 of that thread the author/bow owner gives a more detailed description of what happened. The fact of the matter is no one will ever know why these limbs let go. By the way, pay no attention to my ramblings with some of the members.

I didn't see the design of the pivot point prior to this. All I can say is ....WOW!.....who came up with that idea?. If I wanted to break something I'd use it as a fulcrum ..... like this That's kinda what I saw with the new Bowtech but at least there are two area's of contact there which reduces stress by a multiple of 50% Hard to believe that didn't catch the eye before I guess I just wasn't looking at anything other than the limbs .

That is the Key I believe. the reason most BT's explode is 'cause of pressing wrong. that could be the case with this new bow. I have seen a bunch of Hoyts with bent risers because of putting it in the press wrong as well.

I must be missing it. The BT limbs look to have the same number contact points. I see where it attatches to the riser via limb bolt and the "fulcrum" contact point. Looks the same as the Drenalin. Am I missing it or did I mis interpret your statement. Time will tell if the design is flawed. We will know because broken Drenalins will pop up all over the place. I'll be contacting one of the techs before I set up John's bow just to make sure.

The fulcrum on the BT has more mass and more contact area unlike the minimized area of the Drenalin
