Thank you all so much for your kind words!! Any time I.......or any of you have a chance to help someone, it is not only a blessing to be able to do so, but............ It just feels good. A new archer can EASILY get discouraged at what he/she thinks is an inability on their part to become proficient, and many times will just lay the bow up except for occasional "tries" and go on to other things. When we can coach them and let them prove to THEMSELVES that with a bow properly set up and tuned and with them being armed with the "techniques" to be able to shoot well by us "showing them how", they gain confidence and it creates a "hunger" to learn more and to practice more often to become the best they can be. Many times they will go on never "accepting" that they are the "best they can be", (as ALL of us should do) and will pursue it DILIGENTLY. Any time I have an opportunity to coach a new archer, I also include a lot of "ethical" information on hunting.....explaining the importance of being a "good shot" and why as well as the importance of having "equipment" that will "do the job" in a humane way and that will prevent...or at least greatly lessen the chances of wounded animals from being lost and not recovered. I'm proud to be associated with a great "bunch" of guys like we have here and I'm sure any one of you who are experienced and seasoned would JUMP at the opportunity to do just what I did with this young man...and what I will do with others as I have the opportunity and for as long as I'm able. I love this great sport and if I can help others to carry it on long after I'm gone then I will leave this world very satisfied at my efforts to teach others!!!!
