They are full helical and they are 4 inch Trueflight Bright Stipes. The trad arrows are actually AMG feathers I got from Bullseye Feathers Ebay Store. I think I actually like them more than the far more expensive Trueflights. They have pretty well done and consistent bases.

Have you shot them through your modern rig? And are they the same profile (height) as the Trueflites?

Ya know, I've never tried the AMG's before with this particular wheel bow, and no, I haven't tried shooting the CX's through my wheel bow. That might be interesting... ;D
I did try the AMG's about 2 years ago through another wheel bow I had and they worked very well. I didn't get more at the time because their bases were inconsistent and about 15 percent of the pack were unusable. Either I got a bad lot, they've greatly increased their grinding methods, or Bullseye is sorting them. Whatever it is, they are very good feathers now.
I'll have to measure the AMG's to be sure, but just holding the two up side by side while mounted to the arrows, it looks like they are the same height, but the AMG shield may be a millimeter or so taller, which would stand to reason.

I have to fix a previous statement, I said I had tried the three inch quickspins, they were actually 2.25" quickspins. I found one thing with the quickspins that I didn't like, they are substantially louder in flight than the arrows. I tried all the different fletches I was interested in trying and I decided on the feathers. I stripped all of my arrows, they are now all feathers. I did order a drop away rest a few days ago. I'm going to give it a whirl, but I suspect I'll end up switching back to the ol'W/B. Jim

I have used feathers on carbon for 20+ years now and really have no reason to switch. Feathers give me faster and better flight and I have yet to see negative issues that would make me change. Of course there is price and that is a consideration but for the x-tra money the added performance is worth it As to weather....rain is the only thing I ever hear mention of but when they lay down after a good soaking , they also throw the water off on the release to the point of where they perform without issue. Not to speak of the fact that you can treat feathers to repel water pretty well as long as we are not talking about down pouring rain. I use 4 fletch straight with 3" feathers Great stability and no more mass than 3 - 4" vanes Some people don't care for the noise of feathers but by going to a 4 fletch and running them straight you really eliminated any noise associated with feathers.

BT, I didn't notice a noise issue with feathers, is there one? I noticed it with the quickspins, I had my wife come out to see which was louder, she also thought the feathers were quite quiet. Jim

My experience is that it depends on how much helical you put on it. The more you twist the fletch around the shaft, the quicker the arrow will stabilize but the more noise it may make in flight. A big part of that is how fast the bow is shooting - faster arrows can have more noise problems than slow ones. This has to do with the turbulence created as the fletch cuts through the air in flight. I went back to three 4" plastic on arrows for my compound and am going to four 5 inch feathers for my longbow. As to brand, I tend to pick up what ever is cheaper... Although, I won't buy plastic that is stiff or kinks badly when you bend it and pinch the bend at room temperature.

If you didn't notice the noise then there wasn't much As smj says....depends alot on the amount of helical and height/length of the fletching
