There is a shop about 30 minutes from me that just got a new string jig. He claims his strings are as good as Winners Choice. Guarantees no peep turn when set up and tuned which they do when they make the strings and cables for a customers bow. He called and offered to make a set at no charge. Asked me to drop off my bow for measurements, and they will make, install and tune. I may have to take them up on the offer. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!!!!! I went the " My Strings are better then anyones" route already. I had a guy make me a set for free. He bragged that he was making strings for tournament archers around the world. ;D Let me tell you... after 2 months of headaches, this guy who was supposed to be so incredible stopped answering my emails, and wouldn't return phone calls. Seems he decided to stop making strings...hmmm...I wonder why? The problem with something for free, is that all too often you get just what you paid for! After that fiasco, and my Bucknasty fiasco, I went to Vapor Trail, and have been having nothing but good luck. They are a very good string, with as close to no creep or peep rotation as you will find anywhere.

Your gonna convince me to buy those Vapor Trails strings aren't you Tedicast ;D
I have to say that your what I would deem as a pretty good barometer as to what is worthwhile as to equipment.

I just changed out string on my Trycon, only reason I changed was the peep kept moving with stock string, so far with Winners Choice I haven't had a problem

I have allot of faith in the 'you get what you pay for' mentality. I'll give this guy a chance because they supply allot of spot shooter archers with strings, arrows etc. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Columbus took a chance. This guy is about 30 minutes form the house and I have known him for some time now. He retired from his real job and went with a full store front shop. I'll let you know if he is as good as he says

Jim Beasley...he owns Spot Shooter Archery in Holly. He retired from the GM Hamtramck (sp?) plant last year. He carries PSE, AR, Browning, Hoyt, Reflex, Martin, Bear. Fully stocked shop.
He is having a big one year anniversary bash this summer. Big tent set up with factory reps, give aways on the hour, hot dogs etc. He is giving a Hoyt Vectrix away that weekend.

Name sounds awful familiar and it's a shame for me he didn't open closer to his employer. I live about 5 minutes from there. And about 45 from Mt. Holly.
