Which company do feel is the most underated? We all hear about the big three, and they make great bows, but there are a lot of small companies that we do not hear much about. which ones do you think are sleepers that deserve a second look and why?

EASY question. Best of the Underdogs would be Alpine (IMNSHO) the first to offer wide cam grooves for solo cam bows. first to offer bearings in idler AND cam. Ingenious limb mounting system. Why don't I shoot one (anymore) Lack of bows with a 31" draw

I'd have to say Pearson and Darton. Both are great companies that have alnmost a cultlike following yet are still relegated as 2nd tier for whatever reason.

C.P ONEIDA WE HAVE ALL HEARD STORYS ABOUT THE OLD BOWS THAT UNCLE TED USED TO PROMOTE IN THE 80'S, AND THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY HAD AS A COMPANY EARLY ON.
WELL A MAN NAMED CLAUD POLLINGTON PURCHASSED THE COMPANY FROM ONEIDA LABS IN NEW YORK IN 2001, MOVED THE COMPANY TO MARION MICHIGAN, AND RE-ENGINERED THE WHOLE BOW, MAKING THE BOWS SHORTER, QUICKER, QUIETER, AND LIGHTER.
I SHOT THE OLD ONEIDA "ARROW FORCE" FOR ABOUT FIVE YEARS IN THE 90'S BUT I FELT THE COMPANY WAS BEGINNING TO FALL BEHIND IN THE INDUSTRY, SO I JUMPED ON THE MATHEWS BAND WAGON IN ABOUT 1995, BUT I DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY THE BOW SHOT.
WELL I HAVE OWNED BULLET, MATHEWS, HOYT, AND BOWTECH, BUT NONE PERFORM LIKE AND ONEIDA, SO WHEN I HEARD ABOUT MR POLLINGTON, HAVING PURCHASSED THE COMPANY AND MAKING THE CHANGES, I DECIDED TO DRIVE TO THE FACTORY AND TAKE A LOOK AT THE "NEW C.P ONEIDA".
I TALKED DIRECTLY WITH CLAUD AND HE PULLED A BOW RIGHT OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE SET THE BOW UP WITH HIS RED DOT SCOPE AND A BOW DOODLE REST AT MY DRAW LENGTH.
AT 19YRDS IN THE FIRST THREE ARROWS I HAD ROBIN-HOODED TWO OF THE ARROWS.
HE THEN PULLED HIS BOW FOR A WOMAN OFF THE RACK AND HANDED IT TO MY WIFE, AND SHE DID THE SAME THING IN JUST TWO ARROWS. I BOUGHT THE BOW THAT DAY AND WILL NEVER STRAY AGAIN.
THIS BOW IN MY OPINION IS THE MOST FORGINGING SHOCK FREE SHOOTER FREINDLY BOW ON THE MARKET TODAY.
MY SUPER SHORT BLACK EAGLE IS SET AT #65, 28" DRAW WITH EASTON A/C/C AND A 100 GRN TIP, I'M GETTING 273FPS WITH A WINNERS CHOICE STRING, GREAT SPEED AND SO FORGIVING.
IMHO IF YOU WOULD DROP THE STEREO TYPES ABOUT THE OLD COMPANY AND JUST SHOOT ONE YOU TOO WILL BE A BELIEVER.
CLAUD AND I ARE NOW FREINDS AND I MAKE IT A POINT TO TAKE THE DRIVE UP TO THE BOW HUNTERS RENDEZVOUZ, AND TAKE MR., AND MRS POLLINGTON OUT TO DINNER.
THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO SECOND TO NONE AND WILL FIX ANY PROBLEY THAT YOU HAVE DOUBLE QUICK, BUT I HAVE NOT HADE A PROBLEM YET.
IN THE PAST TWO SEASONS SENCE I BOUGHT THE ONEIDA I HAVE KILLED FOUR DOES AND TWO EIGHT POINTERS AND THE EIGHT THAT I SHOT LAST YEAR I PUNCHED THRU THE OPPOSITE FRONT SHOLDER WITH MY 100 GRN R/M SNYPER.
WISH I KNEW HOW TO POST PICS I WOULD LOVE TO SHOW OFF THE HOLES THIS HEAD MADE.
P.S SORRY ABOUT THE BOOK I JUST WROTE HERE BUT I LOVE THE BOW AND THE POLLINGTON FAMILY FOR RESORECTING A GREAT BOW DESIGHN.

Great post Den!. You can upload you pics to photobucket.com and then use the bottom img frame below the pic to post anywhere on forums such as this. I always liked the Oneida for finger shooting and would try the new bow but I don't need one & probably never will as long as the BK2 remains intact

ABOVE IS THE 8PT MICHIGAN BUCK I KILLED ON STATE LAND NOV. 2ND 2005 I DON'T HUT PRIVATE PROPERTY SO MY QUORRY IS VERY LIMITED, THIS BUCK RESPONDED TO A GRUNT TUBE AND CAME IN LOOKING FOR A FIGHT. I SHOT HIME ON THE DOWN WIND SIDE OF THE TREE QUARTERING AWAY AT 25YRDS, THE HOLE YOU SEE IS THE ENTRY HOLE OF THE R/M SNYPER, THE EXIT HOLE WAS JUST AS LARGE AND HAD PUNCHED THRU THE OFF SHOLDER BLADE. I REALLY LIKE THIS BROADHEAD AND WITH THE SET UP THAT I'M SHOOTING AS YOU CAN SEE THEY WORK GREAT. SORRY THAT I COULDN'T PUT THE STORY WITH THE PIC, I'M JUST STARTING TO FIGURE THIS PC THING OUT. CLICK ON THE PIC FOR A LARGER IMAGE.
