There really aren't many differences between the 2 except the feel. They're both shooters. The draw cycle on the Trykon is a bit more harsh than the XT but still smooth. I have an XT and love it. But after shooting next to skipmaster the last few weeks I've come away impressed with the quiteness of the Trykon.
You'll really have to shoot them to decide which one is best for you. It'll more than likely come down to the draw cycle and the grip as both have a different feel.

BB...Being that I shoot a Mathews, I am partial to the Switchback XT. The only way for YOU to know is to shoot both of them, side by side if possible. I have never shot a Trykon, but the SBXT is a dream. I have heard that the draw cycle isn't as smooth on the Hoyt as the Mathews. This is second hand info though. The bottom line is, no matter which of these 2 bows you choose, you will be the owner of an awesome bow!!

Yeah, set two bows up to your specs and shoot away. Both are quality and have stand up companies behind them. It will come down to draw cycle and grip. The Mathews are "smoother" to draw but I prefer the "harsh" rollover of the Zepher cam on the Trykon. I aslo prefer a small narrow grip, I even removed all whole grip and am now pretty much just holding a thin riser. I'm not sure what the Mathews looks like under their grip.
I just wanted to add that although you may see a bunch of us busting on each others brand of bow(mostly bowtech and mathews) we are just having a little fun. The bows are great.

It would be nice if you could call ahead and ask them to set both to your draw length prior to your arrival. Once there tell them you want to try a blind test. Close your eyes and ask them to hand you one and then the other. before you even open your eyes tell them to ring up either #1 or #2 Sounds stupid but I have done it in years past when faced with such a dilemma. It got a laugh but everyone agreed that it was a great idea

that blind test sounds funny, lol there is only one shop in alberta that carries both, but i guess i could try that route. but ive shot them both already before. i didnt mind the thinker grip of the mathews, it rolled over nice an smooth. but the balance of the bow in the trykon felt better to me, and so did the grip. hahah, im in a rut, decisions suck ill get her figured out

If you're having trouble, you haven't found the right bow yet. I guarantee that there's one out there that will scream "Daddy"when you pick it up!!
