Axle to Axle: 35" Brace Height: 7" Peak Speed: 310 FPS May be my favorite Martin of alltime. Can't wait to shoot one myself.

I picked based on a pretty extensive shoot off. But just looking at the specs, it has what people want... Short ATA with BIG brace height and still maintain speed. Just by specs, I would think more people would have it on their list. Axle to Axle:33" Brace Height:8.25" IBO Speed:310FPS

I agree Shaman. I think it's the fact that PSE has an inferior reputation as a second rate mfg even if it's misplaced. I personally have used a Thunderbolt with Lightning cams to a great deal of success. Never had a problem with PSE personally and I believe they are the number one seller of bows worldwide. Just tend to be a follower in the archery world and that tends to make for their reputation in my opinion.

Just tend to be a follower in the archery world and that tends to make for their reputation in my opinion. The 'following' perception comes from them losing focus a bit. But they had the ability too (though shouldn't have) because almost every current archery innovation is a patent variant of their technology. I think from their perspective, the fact that people relied on their base tech made them feel like they were way ahead, when in fact the public does not understand the difference. They dont know the Bowtech riser and Cams are based on PSE. Nor do they know Elite is based on BT. They just see the hot new name. They also stopped doing the little advertising things that keep their logo in peoples eyes. Anyone else notice the PSE products being shown in the hands of hunters on the Bowhunter Mag articles? Those are just stock photos they put in with articles. Manufacturers pay the photographer and may the magazine for placement. Bunch of PSE board users started telling them what they were missing and I think they started listening. I think they relied on their patent and lower end bow income too much and got complacent. Hopefully that starts changing. Martin on the other hand is doing a very GOOD job with AT, Calendar Girls, and product placement. And that is a cool looking bow.

Actually the cams on the current Bowtechs are Dartons design as is the Hybrids being used by PSE, Hoyt and a ton of other mfg's. Bowtech made their name off of speed. Pure and simple. Just like a Vette or a Ferrari is the envy of most drivers, Bowtech is the speed demon of the archery world. I agree about Martins marketing. They have made a big stride in the business and I look for them to gain a larger share of the market with the current campaign. PSE has made soime strides with the NRG cams but those are nothing more than hybrids licensed from Darton if I'm not mistaken. They have literally no new innovations in the past several years and nothing in which to market themselves except yesteryears and others technologies. I hope you are right about them trying to change their strategy, but fear it may be a little too late.
