E-500!

Wow....I shot the E-500 from Elite today. Awesome bow. All the lawsuits between them and Bowtech are settled. He will stay in business and by the way his bow shoots they are here to stay. To make it so he wouldn't be producing a Bowtech a few things were changed and as long as those things are diffrent Bowtech can't touch him. This guy was pretty much one of the big brains driving Bowtech and now he is out on his own making the improvements that they didn't want him to do because of profit margins. The way the string hooks to the cam, the cam itself is harder, the camo, the grip, the limbs, brace height...are all a little different than the Bowtechs. He has WC strings and Barnsdale limbs on the bow. It has just about a 7.5" brace height, the grip amazing and it can shoot! The cam is hard with no real valley but it is a smooth draw. At 30" with a 350grain arrow it was hitting 336fps at 70#'s. 315fps with a 382grain arrow. Very little hand shock and just amazing to shoot.

Flying arrow is a dealer and should be getting some soon. I had the chance to shoot one there that I guy I know had ordered. He bought it without even seing it first. i wouldn't say it is a super bow, it's similar to the Allegaince but side by side this bow is a little more efficient and more forgiving.

Just an FYI. The lawsuits are just beginning. The court has found ample evidence to proceed to a civil trial. They have placed an injunction on Elite to discontinue their current line when the parts that are stockpiled are gone.

The owner of Elite told the owners of the local shop just the other day that everything is settled. Either way, I 'll be waiting 'till next year to buy another new bow. We'll see how this all plays out in the mean time.

A courts decision to hear a case doesn't mean a whole lot to me. I'll wait for the facts

Usually it means that enough evidence was presented for the court to proceed. I personally wouldn't touch an Elite with a 10 foot pole until everythings finalized. Lord knows where this company may end up if they're found guilty and Bowtech is awarded damages. I think the injunctiuon says alot toward that effect.
