We'll guys Finial payment went out today. The bow will ship on Monday or Tuesday so I should have it Wed or Thursday I cant waite. I might have to waite till next Saturday or Sunday to give a full review since I have to goto my buddy shop to set it up. Also I work till 4:30 every day and it gets dark here in Montana about 5 pm MST, but I promise the review will be done ASAP. But here is a review I found on AT and this guy was very impressed with the bow:Thoughts on Martin Pantera -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had a chance to shoot the Pantera last night and thought I'd offer up this quick review for anyone interested. Martin Pantera 55-70lbs set at 60lbs, 29” draw, Carbon Tech whitetails, Tru Glo 5 pin, Lore 5”stab. On the rack; score A+ Overall impression was good. Machining and finish were good. Clean lines, nice camo, looked like it had been dipped several times, good attention to detail. I looked carefully for tooling marks and could not find any on this bows finish. I really like the lines on this riser. The bow looks aggressive, yet graceful. In the hand; score B This bow is a tank! At 4 lbs 11oz. this is no lightweight. I personally like a heavy bow, but I can see how ground hunting could become a chore when the bow is loaded down. The big surprise is in the grip. At a time when manufacturers are moving to smaller thinner grip sections (even Mathews ) this grip section is way too big. The bow had Martins neoprene grip with the front and back covered with a thin sheet of neoprene. Cutting the neoprene from the front and back could help here to reduce the girth. A good note on the grip, Martin has paid attention to a detail that I have long wished they would, when they machined a recess into the ridge that runs along the bottom of the riser just above the grip area. This ridge can irritate the second thumb knuckle on shooters with larger hands. Pre Draw; A- The Pantera balances very well at pre draw. It felt slightly top heavy as is common to many Martin bows I’ve found. In my hand the bow slowly falls forward when held in an open grip, and I like this in a bow. Draw, and hold; A+ Here is where this bow starts to really show its pedigree. I never thought any cam could beat the mighty Freedom cam from BowTech but this M-Pro cam has changed my mind. There is no harsh point in this cam. The draw starts out smooth and stays that way all the way to the wall. Let off is not a harsh drop but an easy transition. At full draw the Pantera just sits there dead on the spot patiently waiting to fire. I found no pin float, no sway, just a super steady hold. The M-Pro cam has a nice enough valley that the bow is not going to try to get away from you if you creep a little. Shot; A+ Here is where the extra weight combined with the M-Pro cam really comes into play. There is minimal shot vibration thanks to the bows parallel limb design coupled with the exceptionally quiet M-Pro cam. Minimal noise, and very little hand shock combine to make this bow a pleasure to shoot. No chrono so I can’t comment on the speed, sorry. I can say it seemed to be fine in that dept, I’ve never cared much about speed. Accuracy; A++ What can I say here…I mean after all…it is a MARTIN!! Seriously though, I have yet to encounter a Martin that would not jam up the X ring and the Pantera is definitely all Martin. If you are looking for a combination 3D, hunting bow the Pantera is an excellent choice. I intend to make mine do everything, indoor, 3D, and hunting, and have all confidence that this bow will shine at all 3 What I’d like to see; Smaller grip Multiple sight mounting holes Rear stabilizer/weight mounting hole/holes
