So i talked a good friend of mine into taking me hunting at his honey hole....more like a feeding zoo...and he has a great little spot to put my ground blind. anyways i get to his house and load my things into his vehicle and away we go, we get there (about three minutes from his home) and start putting on our gear....and then i cant find my release....i look everywhere but its nowhere to be found ....my friend feels sorry for me and decides to take me back to look in my vehicle....its not there cant find it...a few months prior he had given my a different release to try(winn free flight) which i tried a coulple times but didnt really care for it....anyways its all i had so away we go again....i shouldve just gone home then....we get back to our stuff, walk in, he heads to his stand me to my spot.... i go to put up my blind and this thing is giving me some real troubles....uggg i finally get it up get inside get the windows open get everything situated and the freak'n cows show up....they are trying to eat my blind and they wont leave!...on top of all this i forget to put out my butternut did i mention this is the last day of my big three contest...i am under some pressure here!!!.... so anyways the sun is coming up and i am setting there and think i see something across the field ...crap forgot to get my range finder out.... getting it out and drop it on my bow, must have bounce 10 times on my bow and some how some pots and pans (its loud). ..ugggg.....finally get settled two hours in and the cows start moving off.... 45 min later my phone starts to vibrate(the one thing i did remember to do) its my buddy texting me ..see any......none ....then i proceed to drop my phone...same pots and pan noise... i pick it up and its vibrating ......deer coming to you... sure enough two does coming right to left out about 30 yards....slowly grab my bow...look up they are 20 yards....look down to put release on loop...i cant get the release to stay locked on loop...15 yards...come on release...just click on there....12 yards....come on release lock on...10 yards and they are looking right at me...now a stomp ..then another........come on release just click shut.......another stomp and now are continuing on there way at a fast walk....ugggg ......at this time i was wondering about the rules of contest....take deer with bow....does that include beating them over the head or do you actually have to shoot an arrow.....sorry team i have failed you miserably.....thanks buckshot06 for the opputunity at the honeyhole and allowing me yet another hunting story!.....this could only happen to me....lol....by the way when when pulled back into his drive way we found my release, ran over multiple times....lol.. i like to learn my lessons the really hard way....lol
