My average time on stand this year is a joke But...I was wondering what the average is for everyone else this year. Normally I get 3-4 hours a day in the first month and then maybe 12 hours total a week after that. This generally nets me (in the past) 6-7 deer a year. Would you say that this year is less , more than or just average to your years previous.

I have been in the tree stand 17 days this year at an average of 4 hours per session (as short as 2 and as long as 7.5) and I have seen three deer, wounded one of them and harvested none Since it is my first year bow hunting, I have no complaints

While hunting in NC I usually average 2 hours per hunt. This is because it is all local and I can usually drive 15-20 minutes to any of my spots. I generally hunt more afternoons than mornings.
When I make the trip to NY and hunt during the rut I am in the woods all day long. As a matter of fact, a few years ago I flew to NY and rented a car at the airport the night I got in, and I returned the car at night when I left. Every day I drove it in the dark to the woods, and did not get back to it until it was dark. To this day I have no idea what color that car was because I never saw it in the daylight. ;D
I checked my journals for the past 3 years and I have been averaging about 200 hours physically "on stand". This has resulted in 4 deer each of these years, but I have passed up many other deer because my freezer is only so big.

My family would have starved to death by now ;D I got work for Friday now but I plan (hope) that I will be out tonight and tomorrow night as well as this weekend.

I like you BT work a crazy schedule for work , I try to get a couple before work once the rut starts to turn then try to get a couple after work... on days off 2-3 in morning and 3-4 in afternoon, my big time is vacation time like to Alaska or Texas where I'm off a week or two!!!!

This year has been terrible for me. Between work, getting a house built and night school I usually only can get on stand about one Saturday ever two weeks. But if all works out I will be on the stand this Saturday.. But I usually do four hours in the AM and the same in the PM.

Not much time on stand this year, with my new son here! He is an awesome boy!
I'm guessing less than Eight daylight hours on stand so far. Little more little less.
I'd like to get a yearling in the freezer. they taste the best. Hopefully I will get the opportunity.
I just hope I still have access to the property next year that I have hunted for the last six years. There are rumors it may be sold to developers.

I thought the board was suffering from a lack of field time this year. These replies confirm it. Thank goodness for team S&B ;D

I have no idea. I sit morning from an hour or so before first light till 9 or so........sometimes later, depending on how many deer I am seeing. I sit afternoons from 1 or so until dark. I have lots of days I can hunt and I average about 4 days a week, sometimes more, but no less. I like mornings because lots of times I have one down by 7:30 or so and can go home and take a nap before work, afternoons I just like to sit back and enjoy.
