We should all practice "to keep from getting rusty". How many hours do you spend per week on average practicing with your bow?

I will take the exception of stupid cold weather like we are having now From Dec. through march I generally do an hour a day depending on the weather, maybe more. From April through October rain does not matter. I normally do 3-5 hours each day. (with the aid of a lighted range) During deer season (Oct.-Nov.) I probably only get an hour a day on average.

I usually weather depending on it, try to practice at least 2-3 times a week for anywhere between 30min to an hr each session. In the winter time when the Montana winters get kinda cold it goes on the back burner. I usually start shooting from end of march(Break up) till it gets too cold out side in Oct/Nov. I try to spend a hr or so every other day shooting. It all kinda varies on how good the Trout are biting ;)and events happening in my town or the heat also in the summer. I am very lucky in that the summer months it is daylight till almost 10-11pm so I have gone out at 9 pm many nights after it cooled down.I probably don't practice as much as i want too , but thank God I practice more than some people that just pick up a bow 3 weeks before season and think they are ready. We'll thats all for now time to go out and Practice

Depends on the time of year for me. Right now I might get out once or twice a week. But come July, August, and September, I'll be out at least 5 times a week and usually 100-250 shots a session. Late in September, I'll just do a dozen or two a day. I try to take a lot of time between shots when it gets a week or two before season working mainly on stealth, form, arrow placement, yardage estimation, and concentration in a one shot scenario.

My vote was 1/2 to 1 hr a week. This is true through the cold months but will incerease to up wards of 5 hrs regularly and more on some weeks in the spring and summer to get set for the hunting season in the fall.

I try and shoot at least an hour or more a day. If its crappy weather i also still shoot, wind, rain snow, heat its all stuff you can incounter while hunting. Plus as my work premits I try to go to the 3D shoots as much as possible.

NEVER enough practice for me. I love to shoot, and love to hunt. That works out pretty well.

6-8 seems about right. Sometimes alot more somethimes a bit less. Quite a bit less during deer season. I take a few shots after a morning hunt a couple of times a week. I know that is the time of year I should be shooting the most but If it's light out I'm hunting or at work and if it's dark I'm in bed. Thats how I live for 2.5 months of the year.
