3 rd times the charm! (I hope - cause they have cleaned my house two years running also) Sounds like you might be ready for a decoy. Talked with a hunter who was using the decoy at the end of Sept. with success, by getting between the herd buck and the herd then setting up the decoy (now that had to be a trick ) Each year I write down some notes on behavior, locations, temp, water, feed, etc. while it is still fresh in the memory and then I re-fresh myself the next fall on earlier tricks and habits - not that it helped this year - well, it did, but ....

Yea I never seen them in a position where I could get between them. Had a decoy but could not get them to respond to it. Couple of times when they seen it they would take off and other times they did not show interest in it but would not come in to it.
