I have gotten 6 new people into bowhunting ( 4 last season and 2 this season) one of them is my 10 year old daughter, she has been shooting with me at 3D's and in the yard for over a year now. She is so so excited about getting to go hunting for real this year with her bow. So yea daddy is super proud of her commitment, she shoots at least 5 days a week, an hour per day. She got her new bow in January, a Diamond Edge. We worked on form to the point where it is just second nature to her now, so she is really putting up some good scores.

Near and dear to my heart I remember doing this with my boys and I envy that you are getting to do it with your daughter. I envy you because you are doing this and I wont ever again Take it all in because right now it just doesn't get much better as a father

Thats super! I like that smile .... no pushing her towards it I see It's great when they want to shoot as opposed to shooting because you want them too. Tell her she has another fan now and to keep it up

Thats awesome man. I dont have any kids yet but I am looking forward to the day when I can do this also. I will be showing my 2 nephews the ropes soon. They are 5 and 7 years of age. I am not sure that your pool is the best back stop though. *lol*

I got my buddies son, Joey shooting yesterday. I finally got his bow all straight. He has shot before but never with the bow set right and never with any real instruction. he was shooting very well yesterday and as he builds the muscles up, he'll be that much steadier. If he sticks to the plan and practices everyday, I see no reason why I won't be taking him out come october

LOL yea the pool is not the best back stop. She shoots the opposite direction now lol. Hey can any of you recomend a good 2 bladed broadhead for her? I am not sure of her speed, but she is shooting 35lbs with a 21inch draw. I have some good stands setup where she will only have to shoot 10 yards or less, she is really efficient out to 20yrds so i am hoping when the time comes she can keep it together for a 10 yard shot lol. I took her on some youth hunts the last 4 years with a .243 rifle and she had handled her nerves real well.
