Hey stilllearning, thanks for the kudos I just wish that I could always use my technique I had a chance to shoot a few arrows and stopped at 6 as BT suggested and I didn't have the ache. I'll see if there isn't some way that I can get a chance to do this every day for a while. Just trying to draw smoothly and hit the bag. See if I can't work the arm back to health. Oh, that's going to be so hard

I hear you hopesman but trust me that it will be worth it. I would do 6 in the morning and 6 at night for a week and then try getting 6 in the afternoon if possible. If you need to , even throw a target and the bow in the trunk so you can use if you are away from home. With a month you should go to rounds of 10 Remember....it's not how many arrows you shoot but how well you shoot one arrow

Well, I got the 6 arrows in this morning but not this evening as I was golfing until dark. No ill effects from the 6 this morning and the group was quite good. I should be able to do the 6 tomorrow morning and evening both. Trying my best to stick to it

Still shooting 6 in the morning & 6 in the evening. Arm is feeling good with no after effects Itching to shoot more but resisting that temptation I hope to move it up to three times a day next week and do that for a week Hopefully by the end of that, the arm will be in good shape so i can work at getting the WB tuned up.

Okay It appears that the arm is now sound, thanks to BT and his shooting exercises. I can now shoot 20-30 arrows with no ill affects Also have made some changes in my grip and added new hardware (WB and 5 pin truglow micro adjust). Also removed the metal d-loop and added string loop. Finally I changed to blazer vanes Now I am wondering if the results I am getting are satisfactory or should I expect better Here is my best round of shooting today at 20 yds and breezy conditions. For reference, the red ring has a 2 1/8" diameter. BT, I'm hoping this is gonna get the job done

looks like some good shooting but as always there is room for improvment. i found that the key to getting very very good is to never be satisfied with how well you shoot. try to keep all your arrows in a 6" circle, when that happens regularly, go for 4",then 3" and so on. now start over at a farther distance.......you can never be too good.
as i said though, very nice shooting and that'll put a deer down fast anyday of the week!

Archery is like golf in respect to the fact that you can shoot a perfect game but nobody can do it time after time. Thats whats so alluring about both....the belief that you can be perfect

Archery is like golf in respect to the fact that you can shoot a perfect game but nobody can do it time after time. Thats whats so alluring about both....the belief that you can be perfect Thanks for the comments guys. I certainly want to improve to the point that I can shoot a consistent group every time not just every second or third time although the others weren't bad. I am going to practice more at the 30 yd distance over the next few weeks but can't do that at home because of safety and space concerns I will work on that at stilllearnings when we meet through the week. BT, it's kinda scary for me when you mention archery in the same breath as golf I also golf and realize how that can be going along great and then everything just fly apart (happened to me last Sunday) So, the next good group that you will see posted from me will be 30 yds and only then after I can repeat it a few times
