Well, I hunted my last day for antelope this year, the season is not done yet, but it was the last day I had to hunt. I had one antelope well within range (40 yards), but decided not to shoot, it was just to small. In Nevada antelope bucks have to have horns longer than their ears to be legal. I told myself the first one I saw that was legal was as good as dead, but when it came down to it, I just couldn't shoot one that I wouldn't have been proud of. I guess that is just how it goes, I couldn't get within 150 yards of any of the big boys. All in all I had a blast though. I leave Thursday for Canada for black bear. Jim

Were you spot and stalking? I am going to Montana the 1st of September and I think that is what I will be doing is mostly spot and stalking The area where I am going has lots of creeks and water so sitting on a waterhole probably won't be to productive. I do have a decoy so will be trying to. Should be fun and who knows might get a chance to shoot an antelope.

At least it wasn't a total bust as far as at least having the opportunity The bear will make up for it right? Wish you all the best of luck

Thats too bad, but hey, you chose one of the toughest animals in North America to spot and stalk with a bow, I wouldnt be too down not getting one. Heck, hunting pronghorn period with a bow wouldnt be easy.

Like I said, What a Blast! They are a lot smarter than I gave em credit for. One buck ran in a 150 yard circle around, I'm pretty sure I could hear him heckling me ;D. It was a fun hunt and I recommend it to anyone that likes a challenge. Jim
