Got a doe last night at 5.25, was in my stand 15ft up and day dreaming, looked down and there was a doe and a little skipper, came in to feed on the corn I had out, was not ready as always no bow in hand still on the easy hanger, reached for the bow and almost spooked the deer, at this point they are 15yds from me, the skipper was broadside and the mommy was quartering away, drew back and they both jumped back about 5yds, the doe was standing to the left of me and now she was almost broadside, layed the pin on the rib section and she turned for the perfect shot, let the arrow fly and saw the arrow go in right before the front leg, in the middle of the ribs, perfect pass-thru, she ran 40yds and piled up, went to get my arrow and checked the shaft, good blood, bubbly and pinkish, a perfect double lung, not much of a bloodtrail to follow cause she ran through alot of thick stuff but saw her go down so I knew where she was, went over to her and she was laying on the ground with more bubbly blood comin out, did my little dance and thanked the good man upstairs for the deer, gutted her out and the lungs where just a bunch of clumps, kinda reminded me of jello, brought her home and put on the scale, weight was 95 pds dreesed out, have to go get a new camera tommorow cause i cant get this 1 to work so no pics , but now I have some meat in the freezer, will get pics of the next 1 for sure so all can see them, looks like its goin to be a good year.
