I shot this buck on Tue night with a Sonic Pro 100. I've already shot a doe this year, and both deer traveled a total of maybe 80 yds. I heard this one tip over. When I found him, he looked like a horse does when it is lying on its side with its legs out. I think he literally tipped over while standing. (That's what it sounded like too). The blood trail was around 12 in or so wide, and you can see the blood splatter on his hide in the one picture. Great head, nice 2 1/2 yr old buck. One side note. Where I hunt, its a woods that's changing into a mature woods. There are a lot of trees around 2-3 inches in diameter that are dead. After he mule kicked, he sprinted for about 10 yds, then jumped a brush pile and hit one of these trees. It snapped it in half, the top kind of fell but the bottom went end over end and it was really loud. Then everything was quiet for about 15 seconds, then I heard him tip over. Pretty awesome.
