30 Days and Counting!

It just hit me. 30 days 'till i hit the woods. CT opens 9-15. Scotty, Tedi, you guys ready? Where did the time go? I haven't even sorted through my gear yet. I haven't scouted my CT spots snd I haven't decided exactly what my bow set up is gonna be. I got to get on the ball. I know I'll be ready though.

The one downfall for me is that I have every morning free to hunt. Sounds good, but early season is really afternoon only. The spots I have I have to walk through the feeding areas to get to my stands. That means if I try to hunt the mornings all I do is educate deer. That limits my hunting to only friday and saturday afternoons. Not bad but all that free time sitting around eats me up.......at least it will give me some more time to hammer my spots out at home.

I'm getting ready...heading into my state land to hang another stand after work tomorrow. Scotty and I have a crap load of stands to get up. We are way behind this year. Some one got us interested in shooting 3D on sundays when we normally be hanging stands...lol

I hear ya. I need to hang about 15 stands here in NY. I only climb in CT. I need to go pick out/clear a few trees in those spots. Yeah, I used to have a lot of time on sundays too. LOL

If I could get you guys on some of my properties I'd have all you guys come along. The landowners think of me as sort of a deer asssain. i slip in and take out a few deer with out them seeing me. You know the type, high brow, 3 piece suits. They want the deer gone but don't want to see it done or for it to "inturupt" thier daily lives. God bless them though they let me on.

Cant wait , counting the days myself, ton of deer on the propertys I hunt, already baited and waiting for the arrow to arrive, I got some big boys and girls up here, will post pics when I get them, If I can hit them with the all the shaken goin on ;D ;D ;D ;D

I just set out my Cuddeback yesterday. I had seen a few nice bucks while stump shooting on sunday. It's on a remote bench covered in mountain laurels with a few faint trails. It seems the bucks are hanging in this area. This is in NY though so I have 2 months till I get a crack at them.
