Was in the tree by 3:30 today. I had a doe and very small fawn walk past me around 4 or 4:15. Around 4:30 I had a person on a 4 wheeler drive past. I knew the gentleman and let him go knowing that he wouldnt make but 1 lap around. I also hoped that he would spook a deer once he rode around to the back side of my stand. Nothing... Around 5:30 or so I had a squirrel bust out of the woods running. I looked over my left shoulder and see a nice 8 pointer walking towards me that was around 110" roughly. I then had several more smaller bucks come out and mill around only to go across the dirt road into the woods. The bigger buck stayed in the woods for a couple of minutes, letting the smaller bucks go on. He then started to walk out, I drew my bow and hit my safety harness at mid draw. Instead of fighting with it right then I turned to the front and drew my bow and turned back to the left. I had just got the pins on his vitals and he started walking putting a limb from the neighboring tree over his vitals. Once he was in the clear, he wasnt at a shooting angle. By the time he did turn and give ma a shot, he was out of range.
