A few weeks ago if you recall I had shot a deer that got up and ran away, this really upset me as we never found her. Well a week later I went back to the same spot, same stump, in fact the same hour 11 am. I just sat down and looked to where I had hung orange tape where the first deer had left blood. Here was another standing under the tape? ?? I leaned against the same tree and shot, down it went, and then agian it got up??I was frantic!! two more shots left my rifle, one missed but the other finished the season. This was my second deer this fall and I filled all my tags. What a wonderfull world we live in! It was not a large deer but dressed out we still got 51 lbs. of meat, now after the holidays it will be time to make some sausages! By the way it was my longest shot ever 138 yards. not bad for a 1906 35 Remington slide action. just have to love this rifle. (sorry it wasn't with a bow) hopefully next year. Oldgun
