By the lack of talk as to predator hunting with archery gear Seems to me that with the way some people respect the turkey for it's keen senses , they would naturally be pulled towards the coyote as well pertaining to the hunting challenge. Certainly the deer would always enjoy the break it would provide them as far as one Yote means one less problem. The market has also been moving up I am told to where a pelt could get you enough for a dozen shafts Even if you dont know how to stretch a pelt or where to sell it you can always find someone that will take it off your hands for a percentage of what it would bring. So maybe you now would need 3 pelts for a dozen arrows....so what?!....your still getting your arrows I dont know... I am just surprised That it gets so little attention

Well thats what I mean.
Its one of the few tag team endeavors that you can participate in for the benefit of the outcome.
The idea of getting together for a predator hunt where one person does the calling and the other does the shooting just seems to be not only fun but also rewarding on a few levels.
That's the curiosity of it all for me.

I am supposed to go for coyotes later in the year, after they get the winter fur on. A guy I work with has them in his back yard every day... So I will obviously be there one of those days! Probably shoot a rabbit and set things up a bit... (Then shoot a few more rabbits for stew later on!)

I am 3/4 serious about night hunting coyotes this winter. 3 Cams and open bait for a couple nights a week. then on the weekend, setting up over 'covered bait', like a have-a-heart trap to make the 'yotes stop and try working for it.
Should stop them long enough for a shot. Snow and a Full Moon should give enough light.

My best friend shot one during bow season where we hunt (YEAH!!!) . Unfortunately that's all he's shot so far . He and I are a lot alike - when rifle season comes in we're not as interested in going into the woods . Maybe it has something to do with all the little orange bobble heads we see ;D!

Yote hunting is the ticket during rifle season I would think.
The hunters are out of the woods so to speak and the Yotes are out in the field.
I really want to put up a climber over a gut pile down south and get one (or 10,000) of these varmint dogs
