I got behind the hole, on a 5' high bank (about 30 minutes ago) and he came out and walked straight away from me feeding. I was about 15-16 yards behind him. I stuck him with a "sonic" just to the left of the backbone in front of the back legs and it came out just above his left eye. Instant kill!

My father - in-law really prefers them in sauce for pasta. He would rather have a spring groundhog than lobster in a sauce

That'n was a nice eatin' size....young & tender! I cook em' the way I do rabbit...par boil until tender, then roll in seasoned flour and fry to golden brown.....Good eatin"! This one did answer a question somewhat that I had on "deflection" of Sonics due to the steep angle of the blades. If you look at this pic, you will get an idea of the angle of the shot and the performance of the Sonic... I was about 5' above him and he was facing downhill on a slight incline which put him nearly parallel with the arrow trajectory. It still penetrated that tough skin and maintained the path all the way through. (in left of backbone, through chest cavity & out above left eye)
