Tiny target indeed, but I ain't tasting it.
I was outside doing some work around the house when I noticed "chirps" form my arch nemesis coming from the garden area. They won't let one strawberry or tomato grow if they have their way. I went inside and grabbed the hunting rig. I only had one arrow suitable for this quarry. I nocked it and eased around the shed. I had to go easy and avoid eye contact at all costs. It was a tough and dangerous stalk, the sun was beating down on me and I was sweating bullets. i managed to get within 12yards of my prey. I eased the bow up and he froze, I stared into his hollow eyes. It was now or never. I came to full draw and released. It was a good shot, a little back, but he went down quickly. Within minutes I was standing over my trophy. My first kill with the Super Shrew.
OK, I'm bored and maybe it wasn't all that dramatic, but thats pretty much how it played out.

I see the Muzzy blew the blades off on that scapula LOL- yeah it couldn't take the strength of those big bones and the sheer velocity of the mighty shrew. I really like my small game BH. This was the first time I got to use it on game though. I used tin snips to trim the blade. It still has a point and sharp blades, but it won't make a massive hole like the full size head will. It dosen't matter much with a chipper but I like to eat squirrels and this head leaves more of a chance of having meat left. The cutting diameter is still plenty big enough for small critters, just a tad over a 1/2". I think I may try and grind down the trocar tip a little, it will make it a littel more blunt and might keep it from sticking into as many things(or at least keep it from sticking in as deep) such as trees and stumps. As I said this is at 12yds. Ain't no Byron Ferguson here.
