65# 20yds Gobbler Getter Spitfire 100s
Wish I could post a pic of the head after hitting a hen square in the back. Unfortunately, she tumbled and got right up, ran 50 yards down a logging trail and then flew off with my arrow hanging off her back like a kite tail. She banked right and got out of sight, and I could not follow her flight path through the trees.
GRRRRR

Urghhh! Gobbler getter huh I think the spitfire itself would have provided enough drag to have prevented a pass through without that dumb blunt tip Sorry to hear the report as it is Right in the back huh?......Thats just odd

My brother was SHOCKED. He took a hen with Rocket 4Blade with complete pass through the day before with almost exact same shot. You should have seen our faces when the bird took off trailing my arrow and bright orange vanes following along.
They did not have regular spitfires this spring when I replaced the RocketHeads. So I picked up the GGetters. Now I have 2 left and 2 Montecs. I might just switch over to the Montecs.

Yeah!...that sucks!! They are designed to stop pass throughs but I never saw a need due to the already large dia. that would aid drag through those feathers. I'd get the drag locks and use the Montec myself. Unloseable turkey/small game grappler grabs on animal as broadhead penetrates tight fit creates drag as it slides up shaft, prevents "pass throughs." 20 grains each. 2/pk $3.99 www.keystonecountrystore.com/index.html?page=6&deptid=5658&parentid=1046&itemsperpage=40

I've said this several times here before but I think efforts to try and prevent a pass through are not only pointless but counter-productive. As you have seen, having the arrow stay in the bird does not ensure that it wont fly away. Hammer that bird with a properly placed extremely sharp quality broadhead (one that is not susceptible to failure) with a decent cutting diameter, and it won't go anywhere - pass through or not.

Flatbow- I agree to a point. But when your prey is one that can fly away, it can get pretty tough to track!! I'm not sure even those grapplers would be enough to stop my arrow but it sure wouldn't hurt.

The turkeys seem to be the bane of my hunting existance. I need some rambo style exploding broadheads, or Bo and Luke Duke flaming turkey Cookers.
