so who all is planning to get out there this spring? I am already chomping at the bit. sure, sure......we have shed hunting to do, the pig hunt, can't forget trout fishing.........but Turkey are on my mind. Last year was my first year really hunting for spring gobblers. I did it because they were there and in season. I never thought they would be so much fun to hunt. Once you get a bird gobbling back at you and working your calls, you will be hooked. If you have never done it you are missing out, believe me.
I believe that I am going to use the gobbler Guillotine, with some spitfires if I catch one before i am set up, or if one holds up a little farther than 20yds. should be a good opportunity to film as well. I can't wait!

Who's boss huh? turkey's will have fun messing with me! I've never hunted 'em yet but will apply this year ... our season is 4/7 - 5/20 with a quota of (1) if lucky enough to draw a tag.
I'm in for your contest - but really; I see 'em from the road while going to work and they sure look stupid enough. About like a grouse - just chunk a rock and pick 'em up! I'm told that they smarten right up when you leave the road and look serious (I'm not a road hunter so I guess that rules me out of the easy ones !)

I ALWAYS thought they were stupid. In fact I call the "Stupid Tree Chickens"......yeah. try and hunt them. i called 8 toms in last year and got 3 in range and killed one. i had anotehr in range and never was presented with a shot and the 3rd I passed on, hoping my buddy would get a shot. It's not that easy, although it can be sometimes. I never thought it would be nearly as much fun as it is. (for the record, a bird with a pea for a brain never outsmarted me.........he out-stupided me)
