I never know what the action is gonna be like until i get into it. I am hoping to get a early morning scouting mission in as well as putting some birds to bed, a few days before the opener.

You know me and my luck. Just when I think I'll have some free time, we get swamped at work.

I have been going about 2 times a week. Been working 16hr days at work. I have been about 5 times and called toms in every time. They have just hung up on me at the last minute. thay seem to be all hened up. I will get a bachelor sooner or later. I havent been able to get out at first light but 1 time. I have been stuck with going after work at 8am. They can only escape but so long.
I am going to maryland this week coming up. I will post my results. Good luck guys!!!!

I've only got to go one time and saw a couple of hens but heard no gobbles. I am taking off work Friday to get caught up on yard work so I can go hunting saturday morning. Hopefully, I'll come home with one.

I took off the first, to try and make a serious go at it. I've been seeing different toms with a few hens, each strutting through my field. Looks like the males have divied up the females, and are making their moves. No guns this year, just the bow, so I hoping for a shot at one of the bigger Toms....I mean hey, I have a contest to win!!
