Got 3 more yesterday Spike . I forgot the camera, but I have witnesses. Ask Royden how pissed off this one Gopher was he was screemin at me as I got to the hole and I was affraid to pick up my arrow with him on it incese he tried to bite me  . I had alot of fun wish I could of stayed longer but had to ship out the C III limbs to Martin for re-logoing. Next time I will remember the camera  Season count so far :

The gophers are finally starting to pop up around here as well. Was able to get out yesterday for a bit while taking a break from Turkeys. My buddy having never shot at them before laughed at me when I told him they would jump the string on you especially at distances under 30yrds. Well, long story short he was 2 for 9 shots yesterday of which I'd say all but one of the misses jumped the string on him. Its hard to get yourself to do but if they are under 30yrds or so and they are staring me down (this is part of the excitement. Who is predator and who is prey? Really raises the hair on the back of your neck! ;D ) I aim at the hole not the gopher.
Elk going to have to get after you to get "Up" here for some scenery an fun.
