The pearson bow killed 3 gophers today - missed 3 others (I was too greedy - trying a 50 yard shot (missed by two or three inches)). The round and pointy head had real good penetration but the blood trails of two gophers with complete pass-thru's went down their respective holes I think one had a good spine shot front to back and the other had both scapula's hit. Too bad they got away before I could field dress 'em.

What a Beast Royden . I can belive you dragged him out whole! It was alot of fun and I cant waite till they pop out more. I am not quite as good a shot as you but I will hit one sooner or later. ;D Even if it is on the deflection like last yr! I always have alot of fun and laffs while we are Gopher hunting ! BTW your camera man did a wonderfull job on the field photos you should give him a raise ;D ;D ;D. All I can say to any of you that have never hunted Gophers/ Prariedogs these littile guys are fast and smart too! They jump the string like you wouldnt belive. It is alot of fun and it is a barrel of laffs and good stalking practice. I am gona hit one soon I can feel it . I missed a 40 yrd shot , and we laffed about it . This is a great way to hone your skills for hunting season.

That's a great target I haven't had the time to get out because I am working alot on getting my advertising dollars out there with this new venture. There isn't much for me during the spring....just fish and Turkey pretty much. Keep it up,,,,I like it!

Spiker - I don't think they would survive the trip The neighbor's would be glad to get rid of 'em any way they can though. Elk4me tells me he's trying to get you out here this fall - if we leave any alive you can hunt 'em for free! Of course they are in bed by mid August except for real high elevations.

You forgot to tell 'em about the 100 yard or so poke elk4me! (I missed the gopher but only by a hair!!!) It was fun ... elk4me is 2-300 yards away yelling at me "I found my arrow from last week!" or "I got him" all the gophers take off and disapear as he's yelling exitedly!

Hey when I left the shop you were supposed to be doing the Garden posts not snitching on me gettin all excited I found my lost arrow! ;D But yes I forgot to mention that Royden missed a 100 yrs shot by the narrowest of margins. We both were like OMG you hit em but then got to the hole and found he was a tad to the left cuz he over compensated for a very strong cross wind! . We are gona have to try that again with that new camera Royden and get the hunt on film!
