The feathers adds allot of realism to the decoy. Let us know how it works out.

There is something else I've used with real good success. I hardly go out early in the morning for fly down anymore (whole other story on tactics there), but when I do, I take a preserved wing with me. I make some soft calls and a cackle and flap the wing on my leg and the ground like a hen has flown down. I've had some real nice gobblers come in to that at first light. If you don't have a wing, a ball cap can substitute in a pinch.

AH AH!....I figured out how to use the Owl Call and to be honest....the directions were not much of a help. It sounds more like an Owl when you fully cup your hands....as if you were trying not to allow any air to escape the cup you are making around the end of the tube. Not bad....not great but not bad

Some of these calls can be pretty frustrating BT. Glad you found the key! I remember buying a silent turkey call years ago made by M.A.D. calls. It was supposed to be a super-sonic shock call, like a dog whistle; in fact it looked like a dog whistle. What a chump I was!! I must have turned 3 shades of red and blue blowing that stupid thing. I never have bought another M.A.D. call again. I think it was actually made by MAD magazine instead of Drury...
