Good going man. Alot of people think I am crazy, but I like to turkey hunt in the rain. The birds stay on roost late and I have had alot of good hunts in the rain. Well congrats again. Fine bird.

Thanks for your comments, everyone. To answer a few questions..Royden, yes, the first shot was a complete passthrough using the K&R Anchor. I'm not sure how much Kris, and Greg want to let out on it yet, so I'll let them field any questions on that thread. btreviews.proboards57.com/index.cgi?board=venison&action=display&thread=2658Bambeklr..yes, hunting turkey in the rain is my favorite...it's perfect right now, I said I was going to stop after one, but there is that huge Tom (if someone didn't get him), so I might get out there again today. The season is all of May, but only till noon each day. I can take two birds (bearded), but only one per day. Also, I'm not sure if I messed up the fan. I talked to a taxidermist yesterday, and I'm bringing it over..I have a pic if anybody can tell me..

Nice Bird and From the Sound of it a First and WITH the Bow AWESOME dude. i wasnt trying to take away from the Bird its a TROPHY. Just wanted to clarify, the process. That Fan Looks Fine, they are Easy to do yourself also once you kill a few try to do one on your own. 20 Bucks and and some drying time and its easy as one 2 three and you already done step one above. two is clean as much meat and fat off as possible then spread on a Board tack it FANNED out. then salt and pepper (salt dries Borax works good too) Pepper keeps Fly away. And let it dry. easy as that. Congrats again

Don't think about it Jav. I'm glad that you pointed it out...I just want to have the correct score. Thanks for the info too, it was all helpful.. Oh yeah, I guess I figured everyone knew, so I never said, but yeah, it's my first bow turkey...

Great bird. Its only a jake, but it appears that he is suffering from beard rot. Kinda crazy.
