Great pics I personally like the one of your shooting hole - that adds an element of difficulty when shooting thru a small opening like that - you know the arrow will fit just fine but.... Two years ago I tried hog hunting down there in late april - it was too warm and too much food sources for good hunting. Did the same sort of thing mess up your hog plans? rc

So did the first arrow spine him? Could you give us a few more details on the shot placement, and what bones were hit, for both arrows. Thanks!
Very nice animal, congratulations!

Another pic of a whitetail, you can see the good close shot angles. These deer and the goats where fairly easy to dupe. Most everything else weren't playing ball, including the pigs..I didn't even see one! My buddy saw one and couldn't get a good shot. The fellow who was there hunting along with us got a small tusker.

A little run down leading to the kill. It was the last hour of the hunt and I kept looking for a Black buck or an Axis. I saw a doe Axis blast from the brush and run out of range. A little later on I saw two bucks emerge from the brush, they where browsing and would pass me at 28yrds. I wanted the lead one which was slightly bigger then the one I got but he got a whiff of me just as I was drawing on him and he bolted. The other buck was behind a bush and didn't see him run, there was a steady wind with gusts. I knew I didn't have much time before he winded me as he was approaching the spot his buddy smelt me from. When he hit that window I shot but he was walking pretty fast and the arrow hit back and high. Direct lower spine hit that dropped him. I put another one in his lower chest just behind the leg and it exited above his opposite side shoulder.I didn't have to shoot the second shot but I don't like to see an animal suffer

Overall it's a very nice place. Larry is a great guy and a wealth of bow hunting info. He's been in the game a long time and just this yr. switched from a recurve to a compound Very nice accommodations, no food but theres a kitchen and a BBQ or you can go into town for great Mexican or steaks ...the hunting is tough and there's no gimi's maybe the goat's there pretty dumb, but the rest are very jumpy. You sit on stand till 10am then you can stalk till 4pm then stand again. Nite time is the right time for hogs, bring a light and lighted sight pins.
