Well boys and girls, I think it's time to be considering the details of this years team hunt. I know many here (including myself), need a heads up pretty soon as to when and where the hunt will be. Personally, I would have no problem with Big Boar again.. But I'm always interested in seeing new places and people  |

Your right Doegirl....there should be a heads up here.
I have been straight out for four days and haven't had a chance to even think in those terms.
Big Boar sounds great to me.....you know what your getting and it hasn't been better than that in all the places I have visited in the east.
Maybe I can get the team thread back up in a week or so....or modify this one.
I am thinking that early summer would be best.
Better foliage for a better hunt and more free time....hopefully.
Thoughts?

I think June would be the perfect month. Turkey season is over, and there are no holidays to contend with. Yeah, the 3d season is in high gear, but I prefer live targets  . My vote, either of the first two weekends in June. |

I'm definitely interested this year and have it budgeted. The Big Boar shouldn't be too bad of a drive. Well thats if you guys will have me. Just can't be during the last week of June and first of July. That way I can learn from the masters. |

How about a new place easier on the pocket book! there are other places...... there would be more people interested @ reasoable prices, maybe!!!

Yeah, but my boar skull is there and I need to pick it up.  No, seriously, you do have a point. I see alot of those Texas "safaris' and those have always interested me. I need to pick up a pair of snake boots, though!  I would like to go after something other than wild boar. Not that I'm bored with them, far from it. It's just my family won't touch the meat. damn suburbanites  Me and my brother in law have pretty much demolished an entire hog between the two of us. I'd do better with cow elk or red deer. |
