BTW, I did invite Jim to join up here on the forum. I think he might lay low for a little bit, however. ;D Now this ought to be good. I just got through telling my buddie who just got a bow not to let anyone draw his bow back without a release, or arrow nocked on the string. He was amazed at how often this type of thing happens, but this is the 4th dryfire that I know of due to a "friend" drawing someone's bow. I hope they get it straightened out for you.

Who's layin low? I told ya I fear no arrah-slingers....my bullits go a lot further and a lot faster. ;D All joking aside, I still feel like total #%&@ about what happened. Good news is that if BowTech gives her any trouble about not covering the cam's I'm real good friends with the CEO of the company that now owns them and would just need to make a phone call to nip that in the bud.

"Destroyer of BowTech's" ;D That is hilarious and great to see that you have a good since of humor, Welcome to the site . It is good to hear that Doegirls' bow is going to be fixed one way or the other.

;D thats funny! Well...the first thing on the agenda is to make the call and find out what the hell they are making those cams out of. The economy might be down but there is no reason to start using lead. You look like a pretty good sized guy in that picture ....how the hell did that bow get away from you?

;D I saw the newest member name and had to laugh - figured their couldn't be two welcome ODF as far as the cams ... it will be interesting to find out the whole scoop ... but.... I do know it is possible to walk the string off of the cams while drawing the bow - especially for new archers. What happens is they take too good a grip, twist the bow while drawing and literally walk the cables over the edge of the cam grove due to excessive side torque - when that happens the cams may get bent ...

You look like a pretty good sized guy in that picture ....how the hell did that bow get away from you? Honestly, I have no clue. The High Country Ultra Extreme with D/S Hatchet cams I've been using the last 5-6 years is setup at 60-lbs so it definitely wasn't due to the weight. Best guess Jennifer and I could come up with was that it was just the major difference in the feel of the draw due to the cams. Mine has a very gradual break whereas (according to her) her 82nd has a pretty steep/sharp break-over point.

It's got a very mean draw cycle, with a short brace height, with hardly any valley. It doesn't get it's speed out of thin air. I don't think some realize how ridiculous the draw cycle on the 82nd really is. Here's a link that shows it. No one will ever accuse the 82nd of being "forgiving" www.archeryevolution.com/pdf/BowTech82ndAirborneSpeed.pdf

The 82nd is very unforgiving I shot it last year that is why I opted for the 101st.
