Hey,Ohioans, Highridge is less than a 5hr drive from Columbus. The more the merrier. A red deer hind can hit 300lbs . They also have cow elk and, from talking with BT, a few red deer/elk hybrids. I would be thrilled to take any of those three

I am all packed...pretty much. Have to wait for my oldest boy to come home and find the battery charger that he borrowed and didn't put back Made a Shepard's Pie for dinner tomorrow and picked up a bunch of snacks and drinks. My elbow has been much improved and I had 4 hours (finally) to shoot today. I was doing so well and then....snap!....I feel the elbow click again Painful yes but stopping me NO! ;D I bought nearly $200. worth of Simmons Land sharks when they announced that the company was for sale and these are the heads I planed on using in the future for white tails....so this is the head I am going to try on the bigger stuff. I know I was going to do some testing on other heads while doing this hunt but this new bow/arrow combo needs attention first. It took me perhaps 20 hours to get 5 heads just the way I wanted them, so this will tell the tale ....I hope. Looking forward to this hunt (still time for stragglers to jump in.....just off the border of western PA )

That was a short hunt! Seems that Doegirl has a friend (Friend?.....who may be a member of P.E.T.A.? ) who wanted to see what happens to an 82nd. when it is dry fired So...they dont hold up real well to that stuff as it turns out Canceled the hunt and guess I'll try and find something else to do this weekend

My condolences to Doegirl's bow...dammit...

Buzzkill for sure... Hope no-one was hurt, but still too bad about the bow.
