I remember seeing these when I was a teen. They are illegal here in Colorado... See page 6 of the Big Game Hunting Rules and Regs: d.No part of bow’s riser (handle) or track, trough, channel, arrow rest or other device (excluding cables and bowstring) that attaches to riser can contact, support and/or guide the arrow from a point rearward of the bow’s brace height behind the undrawn string. For the full write up: wildlife.state.co.us/NR/rdonlyres/393CEE85-2EA3-48B9-9480-7EDC2166361B/0/biggame.pdfI am not aware of where this might be considered legal, but I do not know every states laws. I have thought that this might be of great use to some handicap hunters on a stand, but again, I don't know where they might actually be used. Perhaps during a rifle season hunt? I'd get it in writing that I had permission to use it before heading out though. If I recall right, they were outlawed about as fast as they appeared. I'd not seen any info for one in years. On the Sales page, they give an example of a 70 pound bow set up to have a hold weight of 24.5 pounds, with a max hold of 25 pounds. That just opens up a whole bunch of questions!

That design has been around for a while. Illegal here in NY.

Some states that allow the use of a crossbow for handicapped with a special permit will also allow this device or something similar. I believe that it is legal in Illinois in special cases and with a special permit.

Have no interest in having one just defeats my whole idea of bow hunting for me. If one does not have the strength to draw a legal weight bow and that person still wants to bow hunt then it is a crossbow or the above device. I am lucky if I can draw 25 or 30 lb and that is with pain. The minimum legal draw weight in Illinois is 40 lb so it is a crossbow or sit at home a read books.........I want to be in the woods!!!!!!!!!!!! Ghost
