Me and Gail (wife) did some canning....mostly Gail...but I did peal and cut up tons of potatoes and all the meat 80# of spuds and about that in carrots...Gail had tons of carrots in garden this year 104 jars Ever had canned beef/deer.....easy... like dinty more only much better...a pint of carotts and spuds...a pint of meat... Dump both in pan and add a gravy mix when cold and stir thoroughly and wallah!!!...mmmmmmmmm good date on cam wrong need to get more deer!!!!!!!!

That is great! I need to do that too. If only I knew how. For meat ya need a pressure canner.....takes about 1.5 hours to can meat...lot quicker for regular things though...so pressure canner investment saves time on regular canning and enables one to can meat also
