I have had access to this bow for over a year now. I have used it or seen it used on 4 successful hunts so far. Here are my observations. I am holding this bow suspect due to the rubber wrapped around the limbs. I cant see any fractures if they are hidden by rubber!. Maybe this bow is meant to kill everything... not just animals I don't like the rubber... And no, I don't care if it cuts the sound in half!. As far as fast... it is fast!. It does indeed make the claimed speeds and the claimed speeds make for a very confident hunter in the stand if I do say so myself. Not so confident in cocking a bow where the limbs are hidden like a bear trap buried in straw but confident enough that the bolt will achieve the advertised speed... if the limbs don't break before the shot! ;D (I really don't like this hide and hope crap with the rubber coated limbs!) Weight is as to be expected... it's a crossbow... It's heavy. Trigger is pretty slick and no issue there What you need is a crank cocker for this beast. It shouldn't be sold without one. On the whole... I am pretty impressed with the performance on the shot and pretty distressed with the act of cocking it for the shot ;D

Some pictures of a test we did with the Ghost 400 last year. We needed to finish packing the freezer before winter and as some here know, you cant buy it cheaper in a store then you can get it as a good preserve. Bonus is that you also get to test The G400 performed flawlessly. The shot penetrated behind the forward leg to get the heart and the bolt stoped short of exiting the offside leg. The fact that this bow made enough power to penetrate the forward leg (centered) on a 600# hog was eye opening to say the least. What was also another eye opener was the spitfires performance. The blades were undamaged.... only dull and with no erosion to the edge of those blades. I know that it is already a proven head but I never tested it under this much force either. If this doesn't say something for the integrity of this head then what does?. Here is the head after cleaning it up. The head was set inside of the bone to show the amount of damage it did on impact. Good luck doing that with a Mathews and a Rage! ;D (JK)

Great review. I love my Excalibur. Nice and simple so it is easy to maintain.
Can't beat those NAP Spitfires.
