Well after looking around for a recurve found out that a friend of mine had one in his closet. I don't know if he has ever shot it. I have been friends with him for 30 years and have never heard him say anything about a bow. It is made by AMF (Wing Archery) a Slimline Red Wing Pro. 58" 50#. The wife took took it down to the local pro shop for me and had them look it over and put a string on it. They said that it looked and shot good. They also gave her some arrows so that I had some to practice with. So I have at total of about 13 bucks in the setup so far. Have just started shooting it a little in the basement.

Looks like you got a great deal...you'll probably get 13 bucks worth of enjoyment out of it in the first 15 minutes of shooting.

The bow does not have any nicks, cracks or signs of delamination. I imagine that if it has any defects they will show up after I start shooting it. I have not shot many recurves but it feels good to me. It does not seem to have much hand shock. And yes I have already got my moneys worth of enjoyment out of shooting it.

I have been shooting in the basement so I have been taking a max of 12 shots then taking a break for a while. I hoping that doing it this way I can gradually increase the number of shots without it beating me up to bad.

Great looking bow! You should indeed be very pleased with it. Those AMF Wing bows are great bows and well worth learning to shoot. You have certainly found a prize!
