This is great news 
20 yards is (IMO) about it for effective range so you are well on your way
If your planning on hunting with it , start looking at broadheads now.
The broadhead will be much more critical with the recurve in regard to penetration which is of course the #1 goal with this rig.
What is your plan?...stick with it and attempt to score next year or maybe sooner?.
