We have too many wolves around here, while ride my scooter yesterday within city limits I at first noctice an old boxer type dog at the end of a short driveway. He was old and had a hard time walking. It was then I seen two wolves were putting the stalk on him. Came within 10ft. of the wolves, they were not scared of me in the least. Brought the dog back to his home and no one was home. When I came back they were laying by the paper box and not going anywhere. Stopped at another place and told him that they were there and he took after them with a rifle. Have no idea if he got them but there are just too many around here right in our city!! Something has to be done, maybe start carring the bow when I go next time. Just waiting for some kids to be hurt it was at a school bus stop.

How often do you see a wolf in town? Sounds rather bold to me, too. I don't think I'd care for that... I doubt my dog would take it well either, but she'd be no match for one wolf, much less two!!! Any chance of having a wolf den in town?

Leave'm go and let them get so bad a bounty is set, again. You sound close to it. Write some letters to the editor in the local rag encouraging the town council in that direction. Might just take someone to suggest it is all. You wouldn't mind a few extra bucks would you? Make sure it's set up where you can keep it out dumped in the landfill, free of course. In less than 3 years they will be in many towns were they are so fiercely protected and then the stink will hit the fan. Before that they will out of desperation offer hunters the privilege of shooting some which will keep them somewhat out of town and only a problem for the hunter who foolishly pays to keep it that way, but even that won't keep the wolf from becoming the problem that caused them to be removed before. How many people will buy a tag more than once or twice, very few. Wait and we'll be paid sooner. Foolishly buy tags and we'll be paid later. I'll never spend one penny to hunt one.
