I haven't been around here for some time but I figured I'd give an update on my season.
Scored the trifecta tonight. Kind of like hitting for the cycle; a useless stat but kinda cool when it happens. 3 different weapons, three deer.
Opening day of Archery I took a decent doe.
Opening day of shotgun I took another nice mature doe.
And tonight, with the muzzleloader I trumped them all with my personal best- a nice 10pt. He dressed at 157 which is actually a smaller body than my last decent buck but his rack is loaded with character. The G2, G3 and G4 on his right beam have a cool twist to them and the main beams almost touch. A friend of mine has trail cam pics of this buck back before the rut almost a mile away.
I hunted my balls off this season and am very tickled to have downed this guy tonight!
